You’re the only rapper to drop platinum albums the last two years. How can you say you don’t fit in?
T.I.: When I saw Tupac talking that “Thug Life” shit, getting locked up for shooting police, and getting shot and living, that’s when I was like, Damn, them niggas is really about that shit. Now you’re just let down. This ain’t this guy that he was on this record. And nobody seems to have a problem with it. It’s a lot of fake shit in it. I like to consider myself an intelligent person, and this shit is not something of intelligence anymore. It’s getting real young and stupid, and that ain’t me.

T.I. will remain in jail on weapons charges for at least another week, after a federal judge on Friday denied any immediate release on bond. U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman said he will hold another hearing next Friday to further consider conditions proposed by the rap star’s lawyers that may prompt him to release their client pending trial. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, Jr., was arraigned at the Friday hearing. He entered a plea of not guilty to the weapons charges. Lawyers for Harris proposed that he be released on a $2.2 million bond, along with separate bonds backed by his record company, record company executives and the equity of his two homes

Dame Dash Opens Up About Jay-Z, Roc-A-Fella and Kanye

It seems as though Dame Dash is done with the biz as he stated, “I’m retired really from music,” in a recent interview. He continued, “I set up Dame Dash Music Group for all the artists I knew were going to get dropped when the sale happened.” A year later Dame dissolved the company. “To be honest, if I can’t make history again, I don’t want to do it.” And what a history Dash had. “People told me don’t mess with Jay-Z at all, then I did, and the same exact people told me ‘Nah Kanye’s not the one…including Jay-Z,” Dash explained. “Then when he came out, everybody’s up under him. It’s hard to keep arguing about things you know are right.” Despite the fact that Kanye stayed with Jay-Z after the Roc-A-Fella fallout, Dash said he’s happy to see Ye win. “More power to him,” Dash said. “I think it’s a good thing that someone that was probably kicked around his whole life is now empowered; it’s just what he does with it. The only thing that’s bothersome about Kanye’s situation is that everyone’s still eating off it except me. I would have poly’d that deal a little different. Everyone that’s still eating off him is everyone that said he couldn’t make it, but other than that I’m happy to see what he does.”

When asked about his relationship with other Roc-A-Fella artists, he answered with his own list of questions. “Are there any other [artists],” Dash asked. “Does Roc-A-Fella still exist? I haven’t seen the chain around lately, so I don’t know. When I left it was different. And not to be arrogant or be happy but it’s the truth. What do you think about the other Roc-A Fella artists? Are they gonna come out? It’s been about 5 years.” Dame’s dedication to the label has not completely dwindled. Just recently BlockSavvy.com, the social networking site established by Dame and his partner Kareem “Biggs” Burke, gave their listeners an opportunity to hear Beyond Reasonable Doubt, which is a tribute mixtape put together by Dash before his beef with Jay-Z. The mixtape includes Kanye West, Beanie Siegel, Freeway and other Roc artists doing their own renditions of Jay-Z classics in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Reasonable Doubt. “You know we gotta get that traffic,” Dame said in reference to Block Savvy before adding, “Reasonable Doubt was really the only thing we 100% owned and it was very reflective of us, not Jay – me, Jay, Biggs and the movement. That’s why Reasonable Doubt was a classic. I listen to that shit and every single thing said…I remember to a tee what he was talking about, because a lot of that shit was us. I A&R’d that project, so I know what music I brought, when we did it, who produced it, how we paid them, the changes that we made and I always thought it should be celebrated on a lot of levels because it was reflective of us and we owned it. We can make money from it forever, so I wanted to do something that paid homage to it.”

Just the night before her concert in Mexico City, the singer had a rapprochement with her fans … at a distance. “We were told no pictures, no shaking hands, no hugging or kissing” a disappointed fan said.

Even tough some fans had been waiting for nearly 27 hours to get an autograph, the singer and her staff were rude to them. Several fans complained about the conditions given by Lavigne’s staff, but the treatment wasn’t different for the press either. The press and tv crews were supposed to cover the whole event -which would last for about and hour- and Lavigne’s staff evicted the press after just a minute of taking pictures.

Nearly 700 fans showed up to the event, and even when some fans showed great enthusiasm for the presence of Lavigne, she seemed distant and showed a forced smile.

We shouldn’t be surprised after all, since the “diva” had the same attitude at the MTV latin music awards last Thursday.

Judge To Diddy: "You Owe 4 Million Dollars...And It's Time To Pay Up!!"

I just got the four - uno - uno about Bad Boy records getting dealt a serious financial blow. I know all you have to remember that judge who awarded Bridgeport and Westbound a $4 million dollar judgment in punitive damages when a jury found Bad Boy Entertainment, Justin Combs Publishing, Universal Records and Sean "Diddy" Combs guilty of illegally sampling "Singing In The Morning" by The Ohio Players right? (well if you didn't I just informed you). Well it looks like the plot has thickened on this lawsuit. Read more below.

Word on the streetz is that the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit rejected Combs' appeal last Wednesday (October 17), after ruling that Combs released and re-released "Ready to Die" with knowledge that the sample had not been cleared. "Ready to Die" was produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs and Osten Harvey Jr. and is the titled track to B.I.G.'s 1994 classic album Ready to Die.

I'm hearing that all these legal issues is stressing the mogul out beyond belief. As we all know, Diddy has been in out of the court room for virtually the past ten years. From child support cases, to assault cases he's shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees. No word yet on what Sean's next move will be.

Rappers Screen Y’all Security: Tupac’s Former Bodyguard Was a FBI Agent

First Tupac, now T.I.! Rappers need to do background checks and piss tests on their security. Them ni&&as be trying to take rappers down! Here is Tupac’s old Bodyguard admitting that he worked for Death Row and he was planted by the FBI!!!

During a Q&A screening for the new DVD, "Tupac Assassination - Conspiracy or Revenge?" Kevin Hackie revealed for the first time that he was an FBI agent -- not an informant, which had been previously reported. Hackie worked undercover as a bodyguard for Death Row from 1992-1996. Shakur died on September 13, 1996.

Kevin Hackie is now retired from law enforcement and runs a private security firm. "Tupac Assassination" is in stores Tuesday, October 23.
